Microsoft Outlook 2011 on Macintosh

Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Macintosh

  1. Select menu "Tools" -> "Accounts..."
  2. Click on the "E-mail Account" icon
  3. Fill in your account information
    - E-mail address: your full email address
    - Passsword: your email password
    - Username: your full email address, e.g. yourfullname@sample-email.com
    - Type: you may use POP3 or IMAP (not sure which? see our "POP3 vs. IMAP" article)
    - Incoming server: secure.prxy.com (default port is correct)
    - check "Use SSL to connect
    - Outgoing server: secure.prxy.com
    - check "Override default port" and enter 465 next to the outgoing server name
    - check "Use SSL to connect"
  4. Click "Add Account
  5. In the Accounts window, click on "More options" under Outgoing server
  6. Select Authentication: [Use Incoming Server Info]
  7. Click "OK"
